Wooster Grace partners with InterVarsity at the College of Wooster. Presently, Julie Longacre serves as coordinator of InterVarsity at four campuses in Ohio: Wooster, Akron, Marietta, and Youngstown.
In 2009-2010, Julie and Eric Chen mobilized the Wooster chapter to share Christ in different venues all school year. In a December outreach, two students committed their lives to Christ for the first time.
Julie loves building friendships and establishing relationships with students. While talking to a freshman student who participated in the outreach, this student proclaimed, "We all are inviting our friends and taking turns manning the (outreach) table at rush hour, and the whole time I am wondering. 'Will anyone actually come?' But they did! They just kept coming in the door! Now we know it's all worth it."
Thus, Wooster Grace praises God that we partner with those who are equipping students to missional people who are willing to take risks to challenge their friends to come to know Jesus. Julie and Eric have worked well together. But now Eric is transitioning to target a new campus on his own at the University of Akron.
